As a brand that advocates self-sufficiency and individual empowerment, Shan Foods is back with another initiative under its Shan Kitchen platform. The brand is now promoting home chefs on an official platform, enabling them to kickstart their entrepreneurial journey.

Previously, Shan Kitchen garnered massive response by being a platform that celebrates not only Pakistani cuisines, but also encourages people to reach newer heights in their careers. Shan Foods has now collaborated with foodpanda to give Shan-certified home chefs an opportunity to set up their food business through the popular Ghar Ka Khana initiative.

What's the challenge?

Taking forward Shan Kitchen's much celebrated cook-offs, this collaboration picked few worthy participants from a pool of over 300 people and had them compete against each other, aiming to win the hearts of a panel of judges with their stellar cooking performances and skills.

The judging panel comprises of Saba Mohsin, Komal Rizvi, Ali Sheikh, Arslan Shahid and Tauseef Butt.

Who wouldn't like to be their own boss?

Winners of the competition will get featured on the foodpanda app and get a shot at starting their business under 'Shan-certified home chefs' by being registered as a vendor in the Ghar Ka Khana category.

This exciting collaboration aims to empower budding entrepreneurial home chefs and give them a platform to make a career out of their passion.

Shan Foods has always celebrated innovation and togetherness.

Six finalists from the contest made it to Shan Kitchen for an exciting cook-off challenge and eventually got to share their culinary creations with the world at Karachi Eat Festival 2020.
