Fast and Furious franchise will come to an end after 11 movies
It's been a long road for the Fast and Furious series but it seems like its coming to an end,
The franchise will conclude after the 10th and 11th films are out, Variety reports.
Justin Lin, who directed the third, fourth, fifth, sixth and ninth Fast and Furious films, will return to direct the final two installments. That said, fans shouldn't fret as the main storyline featuring Vin Diesel's iconic Domiic Toretto will be wrapping up but spin-off flicks featuring other Fast and Furious characters are currently in the pipeline at Universal Studios.
The OG cast regulars include Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris and Tyrese Gibson, along with several actors who’ve played memorable roles in past films, such as Jordana Brewster, Lucas Black, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron and especially fan favorite Sung Kang, who starred with Black in Lin’s first franchise outing, 2006’s The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.
The next movie titled F9, which will also star John Cena, was originally meant to debut in 2020 but has been pushed to Memorial Day 2021 in wake up of the coronavirus pandemic.
