Areesh Zubair is shooting portraits which follow all the social distancing protocols.

With Covid-19 resulting in a lockdown, people are coming up with creative ways to remain productive.

Photographer Areesh Zubair took on an interesting project not only relevant to the current situation but also plays by the rules. He calls it Duur se Portrait.

"I am doing this balcony portrait series," said the photographer in a post. "In which I'll go to people's homes to take their portrait from the street. While they are on their balcony [or] terrace."

He made sure to mention that he's "following all the social distancing protocols" while carrying on the project.

"Trying to make most out of our current situation!"

So far we're enjoying the idea and the pictures, especially the cute story behind each photo.

Good initiative. But how about showing some real lockdown pics of real people, not models

Nice but none of these look real! Made up poses with models or family members!

Instead of opulent terraces and architectural homes which are well spaced out and look good anyway in photographs, it would be nice for a change to take the challenge to depict the middle class, and 90% who live in smaller less glamourous domains like flats, apartments, muhallas, kachi abadis, bastis, villages affected by social distancing in this lockdown.

@Akram I was thinking the same thing. It would be nice to see some regular people too, not that these aren't lovely portraits. I especially like the one of the girl in white and the couple reading. Both very nice!
