Riz Ahmed's next project is a theatre play.

The actor and rapper is gearing up for the premiere of production The Long Goodbye which, according to the Guardian, will explore his complicated relationship with Britain.

The play, which will be a part of the Manchester International Festival, will incorporate rap in theatre and has been described as “close-up look at the breakup of a toxic relationship with the country you call home." It will also features new songs from Riz.

“I can’t wait to come to Manchester and share the world premiere of this live experience,” Ahmed said. “It takes us on a journey through our past to the current crossroads we face as a multicultural society.”
