The complete list of nominations for Oscars 2020

The 92nd Academy Awards will take place in February. Did your favourites make the cut?
Updated 14 Jan, 2020

Remember when we wondered if the Oscars will snub female directors again this year?

So that pretty much happened.

The nominations for the 92nd Academy awards are out and while there were some impressive monets, there were also snubs that folks aren't too excited about.

Todd Philips' Joker became the second comic book-based movie after Black Panther to nab more than a few Oscars including Best Picture, having a total of 11 nominations. Another big moment is South Korean movie Parasite getting five nominations also including Best Picture rather than just a nod in the Foreign Film category.

That being said, there were numerous snubs this year that have left many unhappy. Eddie Murphy's Dolemite Is My Name remained ignored while many pointed out Jennifer Lopez deserved a nod for her work in Hustlers and Lupita Nyong'o for Us. And — again — save for Greta Gerwig's Little Women making it to the Best Film category, female directors were snubbed yet again.

I am surprised to see that the outstanding Actor Robert De Nero who has acted so well in the Movie"The Irishman"has not been nominated for the best Actor Award.Anyway my congratulations to Robert De Nero for a wonderful performance and to Director Martin Scorsese for excellent Direction.Amazingly not a single dull moment in the 3 hour long Movie.
