TikTok star Hareem Shah harassed by a mob of men in Dubai

Videos show Hareem visibly fearful, distressed and begging for some personal space while being mobbed.

TikTok star Hareem Shah - who drew widespread public backlash for filming inside the Foreign Office - revealed she was verbally abused and sexually harassed by “hundreds of Pakistani men” at a store opening in Dubai's Oasis Mall where she was invited as a guest.

“Hundreds of Pakistani men hurled abuses, pushed and some even kicked me,” she wrote on Twitter along with a video posted earlier this week. “Is this how you treat your women??”

According to Gulf News, Oasis Mall management has not responded to the incident.

A series of videos - appearing to be from the same event - posted by other TikTok users confirmed her claims, showing Hareem and her friend Sandal Khattak visibly fearful, distressed and begging for some personal space to move forward and away from the mobbing crowd of male fans.

Earlier this month, Hareem shared a similar video in which she can be seen at a different public event and dozens of men are standing far too close and touching her inappropriately.

Though Hareem is visibly uncomfortable here, she is polite and firm with the fans taking photos and filming with her.

Disgusting behaviour from the men. She should have been provided security.

The management of oasis should have arranged an escort. Finally, Pakistani men behaving like animals here. It’s quite disgusting but unfortunately expected. After all, they are Pakistani men, frustrated and brought up feeling entitled to act like this. If they even so much as throw a second glance at a foreigner in Dubai, they will be put in jail and possibly deported for harassment. And they even know that. But if it’s a Pakistani female, then they show their true colors.

Then us men get offended when we're charged a fee to enter shopping malls. Disgusted and embarrassed on behalf of my own gender.

Shameful to say the least. Men really are the worst. Now see them blaming her for getting harassed and not the harassers.

This is Dubai, so hopefully the Dubai Police now have photos of the men who harassed her and will take the necessary action. I hope the Dubai Courts send these men to jail for a very long time. No one deserves to be disrespected.

Men, in many parts of the world, will not miss any chance to get close to women, and vice-versa. Pakistani men, like the ones in these clips, should be taught that they need to learn the basics of respecting everyone, including women. Also, celebrities should learn to earn respect more by their appropriate behaviors than by exposing themselves.

It’s so embarrassing, sad, frustrating and infuriating that our men don’t know how to behave and respect women hence the high rise of rape and molestation cases in Pakistan. This clip surely proves that.....

I remembered seeing how a crowd of curious men gathered around a European female tourist, touching her and passing vulgar remarks . It was 40 years ago . I guess things have not changed . Shame on us for not educating our boys to respect women as part of growing up in homes, schools and masjids .

The problem with Pakistani men and I will extend it to South Asian men is they have for too long gotten away with disrespect . What I mean by that is disrespect does not have to be in its extreme such as molestation or rape it can be in many attitudes . You can see disrespect and perversion with women traveling in public transport , women at a work place , women in schools / universities , shopping malls parks and the list never ends . These Men often in groups of other men need to be slapped everywhere throughout the day for many years to make an impressionable change .
