Kumail Nanjiani got seriously buff for Marvel's The Eternals

Safe to say, he crushed the the 'beginning of the decade vs end of the decade' challenge!

Kumail Nanjiani is joining the Marvel brigade and as is the case for actors jumping into the world of superheroes, the man's been busy getting jacked for the role.

The actor unveiled his impressive physical transformation on Instagram and got refreshingly real about how it takes a village to get to this point:

"I would not have been able to do this if I didn’t have a full year with the best trainers and nutritionists paid for by the biggest studio in the world. I’m glad I look like this, but I also understand why I never did before. It would have been impossible without these resources and time," he wrote.

The Stuber star admitted that the intense training made him "understand true physical pain for months and months". That said, it seems like the struggle was worth it!

The Eternals is a 1976 comic by Jack Kirby about near-immortal beings that were created to defend the Earth; the film adaptation starring Nanjiani, Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Richard Madden and Kit Harington among others is slated to release on November 6, 2020.

He was actually in shape even before this. So, basically fine-tuned his muscles.

That transformation is several years worth of hard work plus a personal trainer and probably a personal chef.
