Amazon Prime just dropped the trailer of Modern Love and we're so excited!

Borrowing inspiration from true life events, Modern Love traces the journey of eight couples as they explore the trials and tribulations of love.

As the name suggests, the anthology is inspired by the New York Times column and podcast Modern Love, tapping into the complications, the beautiful, the ugly of love, and not just the romantic kind.

Each episode will be 30 minutes long and "will explore love in its many forms—sexual, romantic, familial, platonic and self-love included".

The cast includes Tina Fey, Anne Hathaway, Brandon Victor Dixon, John Slattery, Julia Garner, John Gallagher, Jr., Dev Patel and Cristin Milioti among others. The anthology is directed by Emmy Rossum and Catastrophe‘s Sharon Horgan.

Judging by the trailer, one can decipher that the eight instalments highlight not just the good bits of love, but also the complicated, hard-to-navigate, extremely confusing parts.

If you're a fan of rom-coms and light-hearted, feel-good shows, this one's for you.

The anthology premieres on Amazon on October 18 later this year.
