Admit it, we're all fond of Ali Sethi's music videos: they're unique, artistic, and explore new aesthetic elements.

Dil Ki Khair is another such Ali Sethi song featuring Faiz Ahmed Faiz's poetry provided by the Faiz Foundation, the music video for which came out over the weekend:

The music video takes place at a party in Lahore and we're just thinking, why weren't we invited to this nostalgic and groovy soiree?

The clip is artsy, dark, and mesmerising and we spot some familiar faces, like his sister, Mira Sethi, actor Emmad Irfani and model Rehmat Ajmal to name a few; Sethi has termed it the "first-ever reggaeton ghazal".

The song is a recomposition of the Faiz Ahmed Faiz ghazal Dil ki Khair. It has been recomposed originally by Ali Sethi and he collaborated with Grammy award-winning producer, Noah Georgeson, who is known for the Narcos OST for the track.

Sethi? How come he keeps his ancestral Hindu surname?

Music is good, but probably the worst song of Ali Sethi so far and what pains more is Faiz Ahmad Faiz treated like that. What masterpieces Abida Parveen created out of Faiz everlasting poetry and what kind of Eye-to-Eye level stuff these guys are producing. This was disturbing to say the least

It’s just a surname. Many such names in Pakistan, especially in Sindh

@Indie Guy “Sethi? How come he keeps his ancestral Hindu surname?” Maybe because it’s his surname and he is proud of his ancestry?! What exactly is your issue?

Faiz would have been disappointed with this rendition.
