Sorry ladies but Ed Sheeran has finally come clean about being a married man.

The British singer and songwriter had remained tight-lipped about tying the knot with his childhood sweetheart, Cherry Seaborn but he opened up in a recent interview with iHeartRadio's Charlamagne Tha God the day he released his new album, No 6 Collaborations Project.

The interviewer had asked Sheeran about the lyrics of his song 'Remember The Name' featuring Eminem and 50 Cent which goes: "Watch how the lyrics in this song might get twisted / My wife wears red but looks better without the lipstick.”

To which Sheeran responded: “It was actually before me and Cherry got married and I knew that we’d be married by the point that the song came out,"

“[I thought] someone’s gonna hear that and be like: ‘Oh, they’re married!’ I didn’t know how that would be construed but obviously it’s already come out.”

The two lovebirds had first met at school at 11 and has stayed in a long relationship before announcing the engagement on Instagram in 2018 before tying the knot the shortly after.

There had been speculations about their marriage since February 2019 before Ed finally confirmed it.

Later, while discussing the song 'Best Part of Me, he also shared: “I constantly wake up every day with Cherry and I’m just like ‘Why are you with me? You could literally be with whoever you want and you’ve chosen me…’ I just find that amazing.”
