Journalists demand an apology from Kangana Ranaut after she insulted a reporter at a press conference.

A delegation from the Entertainment Journalists' Guild of India warned producer Ekta Kapoor that they would be boycotting the actress in the aftermath of her heated argument with an entertainment journalist at a press conference for her upcoming release Judgemental Hai Kya, reported news agency PTI.

The guild also demanded an apology from Ekta Kapoor along with Ranaut.

Ekta Kapoor, the producer of Kangana's upcoming release, responded to the statement by the Guild as she said "A lot is being reported about the debate that ensued between our film JudgeMentall Hai Kya’s actor and journalist Justin Rao, at the film’s song launch event on July 7th, 2019."

"Unfortunately, the event took an unpleasant turn,” the statement said. “While the people involved in it fairly held their own perspectives but because it happened at the event of our film, we, as the producers, would like to apologize and express regret for this untoward incident.”

However, Kangana Ranaut's sister, Rangoli Chandel, has straightforwardly rejected the request for an apology from Kangana on twitter.

She's a very outspoken actress and that's make her different-- I like her.

They instigate and then when Kangana responds, they cry. No apology.

Media is too intrusive. She need not apologise. Has media ever apologised?
