Kylie Jenner threw a Handmaid's Tale themed party and we just want to know why
Another day, another Kardashian scandal.
Kylie Jenner is known for throwing extravagant bashes but the theme for her latest party for her friend, Stassie Karanikolaou has raised some eyebrows and not in a good way.
The birthday celebration was a Handmaid's Tale-themed party which is just bizarre because if you've watched the show, you know the fascist state of Gilead ain't no party.
Like we said, Jenner always goes all out so she paid attention to detail: red handmaid robes for attendees, party staff dressed as "Marthas" (the "infertile" women of Gilead who work as slaves), the works. She said on her Instagram story that it's her "favourite show everrr" but we're not so sure she's watched any of it.
The hit series which is an adaptation of Margaret Atwood's novel tells the story of a dystopian future in which the US has become Gilead and its women have been stripped of all rights and routinely raped by men they've been forced to live with based on their fertility.
