Maleficent took a different turn from Sleeping Beauty by making Angelina Jolie the hero of the lore but it looks like the sorceress is going back to evil in the sequel.
Disney dropped the teaser for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and it looks like it'll be more epic than its prequel.
Angelina Jolie's Maleficent is taking a very Mad Queen approach with a new monarch - who may be Prince Philip's father - and is unapologetic about it. This causes a rift between her and Aurora, the young princess she grew fond of in the first movie.
The first film showed Maleficent as a defender of the forest and its magic but taking a dark turn when betrayed by the king. Will this film show her darkness taking over or will she overcome it once again? We shall find out.
Also, Angelina Jolie looks absolutely beautiful. Just had to put it out there.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil releases October 18.
