The Lux Style nominations were just revealed earlier today and while some names were notably missing, Mohsin Abbas Haider is not feeling the fact that his drama, Meri Guriya was overlooked.

The actor thanked the organisers for nominating the drama's song, 'Na Jaa' in the Best Singer category but shared that he's "highly disappointed" that Meri Guriya didn't get a single nomination and that it's "very disrespectful" to the whole team.

He added, "Thanks for making my belief more strong, that let's just make money and run our kitchens."

Ouch.

ARY's Meri Guriya was a story that highlighted the harrowing subject of rampant child abuse in our society and country and how pedophiles get away with these crimes.

Brilliant response by Mohsin. Like they chose to nominate that pathetic drama Balaa and Khaani and the latter didn’t teach or break stereotypes like Meri Gurya (which showed strong women fighting own battle for justice) and Aangan (a fresh drama with realistic portrayals of a family) in the drama. Sorry to say they nominated screeching Feroze over brilliant Mohsin

Totally agree with him! A meaningful drama serial on currently the most important issue of child rapes in Pakistan, which could be an epidemic, was deliberately ignored by the committee. They don't want to highlight the real social problems in the country. Meri Guriya was also a commercial success with every episode getting more a million views.
