Fox's final X-Men movie gets a new trailer and things are getting dark and galactic.

Dark Phoenix brings out one of the most iconic arcs from the X-Men comic book, with Sophie Turner playing a troubled Jean Grey as she battles the powers of Phoenix.

The trailer gives us some major plot twists, such as the death of Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), making us wonder what more is in store for us.

We're also introduced to Jessica Chastain, who has been said to play an alien in the movie. Could this be Lilandra? From her conversation with Jean, we're doubtful, but hey, we can hope, right?

Fox shared the plot of Dark Phoenix with the trailer saying, "During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable.

Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite -- not only to save Jean's soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy."

The rescue mission in space has really added a lot of galactic visuals in the trailer, which is giving us a very Star Trek feel to it all. Guess we'll find out more when the movie comes out.

Dark Phoenix hits screens June 7.
