Chanel's creative director, Karl Lagerfeld has passed away
The fashion legend was 85; the news comes after he had reportedly been in ill health for weeks

German fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld has passed away.
The long-time creative director of luxury fashion brand, Chanel passed away at 85 reportedly after weeks of ill health; Lagerfeld began his career as an assistant to Pierre Balmain in 1955, joined Chanel in 1983 and spent a record-breaking 36 years at the house.
In a 7 decade career, Lagerfeld created collections simultaneously for the celebrated houses of Chanel and Fendi, in addition to his signature label.
His cause of death hasn't been confirmed as of yet.
