The new husbands of Bollywood ain't your conventional spouses and we love it.

After Ranveer Singh's wedding with Deepika Padukone, the couple decided to spend their married life together in Deepika’s home and he's now revealed the reason behind it.

According to Indian Express, Ranveer said that they arrived at the decision to live in her home and not his because he didn’t want to ‘displace her’: “I’ve grown up seeing a marriage where the attitude is to make it work regardless of anything. A marriage is a commitment, out is not an option. So whatever you have to work through, you do,” he said. “The most sensible and convenient thing was for me to move into her set-up. She's comfortable there and I don’t want to displace her. I always try to give her priority.”

However, the same report also mentions that the two are now looking for a bigger home to move into.

Yes it is a news for obvious reasons, (a) newly wed wife moves to her husbands house in most cases, (b)it also provides some "raunak" to inlaws house, (c)husband happily agrees to wifes' desire to add further to her happiness,(d) then they are well established actors with large fan following,(e) that further adds info and happiness to all concerned and lastly it is a world of give and take.

@Masood perhaps it is a big deal. How many men would do that. The aim of the article was to drive home a point. Names of characters added a dimension.

Hes a good role model. Hopefully this trend catch up soon in Lollywood celebs too. Celebs have huge influence on people and can change patriachal society to woman empowering traditions. I would be glad if even 1 in 5 men change here and adopt this.
