Looks like Carol Denvers knows as much about Captain Marvel's origins as MCU fans who haven't read the books.

The second trailer for Captain Marvel, Marvel's first female superhero movie, is out. And while it keeps the mystery, it lets us know what to expect from the movie.

Before revealing the plot, the trailer makes sure to justify a shot in the previous trailer where Denvers punches an old lady. We called it, folks! She was indeed a Skrull, set to destroy Captain Marvel.

Captain Marvel takes the idea of origin stories in a different direction. Carol - played by Brie Larson - is already a skilled warrior but has amnesia about her life on Earth and has yet to know of her true abilities.

From the looks of it we can tell that Carol is under the Kree Militia and will soon learn about which side is good and which is evil. We can't help but feel that the story is too close to that of Mar-Vell and less of Denvers, who is the original Miss Marvel in the books. Perhaps her bout with amnesia will reveal that?

We did like the mini reveals the trailer gave us; the hint about Jude Law's character being a Kree villain, the easter egg of Fury meeting Carol's cat (which could be an alien!) and of course, Marvel's binary form.

Captain Marvel is set to release in March.
