Cake and Salam win big at the South Asian Film Festival of Montreal

Both films are making waves across the border

Pakistan won two awards at the 8th annual South Asian Film Festival of Montreal this weekend.

The film festival held Audience Choice Awards, in which Sanam Saeed and Aamina Sheikh starrer Cake won Best Feature Fiction while Best Feature Documentary went to Salam - The First ****** Nobel Laureate.

For Salam, the documentary on Nobel Laureate Abdus Salam, this is the fifth award while Cake has been selected as Pakistan's Oscar nominee.
