A host of Pakistan's most popular celebrities are missing the election action and Mahira Khan is one of them.

Mahira has opened up about her absence from Pakistan on this voting day in her latest Instagram post and explained that her work obligations abroad were unavoidable.

"As much as I want to be there tomorrow, it is unfortunate that I can not be. There was absolutely no way to delay my work commitment which was scheduled months in advance, I tried my best. And so with a heavy heart I will not be voting this year," she wrote on Instagram.

But that won't stop her from urging all her followers to "get out and vote!"

"May this year bring the change we all have been waiting to see. InshAllah. Pakistan zindabad!!!"

BTW Mahira elections are also scheduled months in advance. It's just your prospective of what is more important, dance rehearsals or choosing the right to choose how the future of your fellow citizens be. I wish we were a lil bit more responsible Pakistani's than we have become.

What this high light is the back ward pak voting system! Vote for your party, is a good thing! Trolling is not cool! There is different way people pay back to their country! High lighting your courty on international plateform is also, very important,paying taxes, creating jobs in films,tv ,and fashions industries for pak is also pay back to Pakistan ! Sending billions to pak economy from over seas pak is what keeps pak a float, and these over sea pak do not vote! Learn respect ,the most important part of being a good citizens,ok trolls!

Not to vote ,abstain from voting is a right ,too, how many times Pakistani political parties have boycotted elections! PTI decided to not even take part in elections , years back, and Imran Khan did not vote! So keep it real! If you are voting because.an artists were promoting that you should vote, you already have issues! Lastly, trolling is never cool! People have their own under lying agendas ,thus,trolls.
