Having trouble arranging a ride to your polling station first thing tomorrow morning?

Try your luck with Careem, which is offering voters free rides to and from polling stations.

The ride-hailing app has introduced a Jamhuriyat Car type that will be driven by drivers who have volunteered their vehicles and time to transport voters to and from their polling stations on July 25. Isn't that great?

Careem emphasises that volunteer drivers will not be compensated for any ride, either by Careem or by passengers. All volunteer drivers will go through our procedural background checks.

The service is available in all cities where Careem operates, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Hyderabad, Multan, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Quetta and Abbotabad.

So this service is basically from Pakistani people. Careem shouldn't be credited for this as they are not paying anything!

Good, in elections history of Pakistan it is first time that such a comfortable transport service is being provided to voters free of cost to facilitate them to cast their vote. In our society where so many people have no resources to bear transport charges to go for vote,

It says volunteer drivers. I wonder how many people volunteered to spend their own money. Hmm... Glad I read that carefully :P
