Sonam and Anand's wedding is Bollywood's newest obsession, but one thing's for sure, Sonam knows how to keep her private and professional life separate.

The actor revealed that she's a very private person and doesn't want her personal life on display.

"I am very protective about my personal life. I’m an extremely private person and I do feel somewhere that it takes away attention from your work," said the Veer Di Wedding star.

Sonam has always avoided talking about her relationship with Anand Ahuja and we can definitely respect that.

After her wedding, the actor will be seen in the much awaited Veere Di Wedding, about which the actor said, "It’s a genuine film about four women and there is no lead role. I am really excited to work with Kareena (Kapoor Khan), Swara (Bhaskar) and Shikha (Talsania). They are all wonderfully talented women and actors."

Sonam, has already referred to the film as one with female protagonists rather than a chick flick and believes it's high time Bollywood produces films about girl love.

She added, "So far the films being made are specifically for women, with related themes. Why do women-oriented films have to be hard-hitting for them to make an impact? Veere Di Wedding is a film for women and their men too."

Veere Di Wedding is set to release on June 1.
