Is Sonam Kapoor's wedding in Geneva this May?
Its been less than two months since we found about about Sonam Kapoor tying the knot this year.
The actor is marrying beau Anand Ahuja and we can't stop adoring the two. Seriously, they look too cute and after Virushka gave us wedding goals, we've been eager to see what 'Sonand' will do.
Mumbai Mirror has the deets from a source close to the wedding preps. The source, part of the wedding planning team, claims that the wedding will be a 2-day event taking place on May 11 and May 12 and will also be a destination wedding in Geneva.
“The date and venue for the wedding have been locked and mass bookings for flights are presently underway. Her dad Anil Kapoor is personally making phone calls to invite guests. There will be sangeet and mehendi ceremonies, followed by a traditional Hindu wedding,” said the source, adding that the Kapoor clan took over three months to finalise the venue.
Initially Jaipur and Udaipur were in talks but the family decided to choose Geneva. Sonam travels a lot to Geneva for her work, being the brand ambassador of Swiss luxury watch company, IWC Schaffhausen.
“The nuptials will be preceded by an engagement ceremony attended by the family’s inner circle, but the venue for that is presently not known,” the source added.
Now we're just left wondering about the wedding wear. Mirror has a source claiming that Sonam has already chosen her designers, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla and close friend Brit designer duo Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo, to work on her wedding wardrobe.
