Glee star Naya Rivera arrested on domestic battery charges

Media reports say that Rivera had struck her husband on the head and bottom lip while out for a walk with their son

Glee star Naya Rivera, who played Santana Lopez on the hit TV show, was arrested last night on charges of domestic battery, reports People.

According to media reports, Rivera was violent towards her husband Ryan Dorsey while they were out for a walk with their two-year-old son. She had struck him on the head and bottom lip.

Rivera is now reported to have been released on a $1000 bond and was picked up from the court by her father-in-law.

Last year, Rivera and Dorsey hit a rough patch in their marriage and were said to be divorcing. However, last month, it was reported that the couple has reconciled and Rivera had requested for dismissal of the divorce paperwork, which she originally filed in November of 2016.

At the time of the reconciliation news, a source told E! News, "She is back together with Ryan Dorsey. They want to make it work for the sake of their son."

The couple got married in a secret ceremony in July 2014.
