Sara Ali Khan’s debut film to hit theatres in December, 2018
A new generation of stars is in the making. Sara Ali Khan, daughter of Bollywood nawaab Saif Ali Khan, will be seen on the silver screen with her debut movie Kedarnath on December 21, 2018, Indian media reported.
"With blessings of Shiva... Kedarnath to release on 21st Dec 2018," tweeted the official Twitter handle of KriArj Entertainment, the film's production banner.
Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Kedernath is a love story that takes place in the course of a pilgrimage. The film is set against the holy temple town of Kedarnath in Uttarakhand, a state known for Hindu temples and pilgrimage centres spread all over it.
Sara will be seen opposite Sushant Singh Rajput (you may remember him as Anushka Sharma's love interest from PK).
In several insta posts, we see the director praising the actors and the crew for pushing through the cold weather in the mountains.
"She's finding her groove and building a momentum to unleash all that she has to offer to the world of movies...," Abhishek tells the budding actress. "Stay strong and focused... your on your way."
