Strings bids farewell to Coke Studio

After fours years, Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia step down as CS executive producers
Updated 30 Oct, 2017

Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia are taking their leave from Coke Studio.

In a Facebook post, the Strings members announced they will no longer be a part of CS, terming their four years on the show as a "fantastic journey".

They wrote: "Coke Studio Season 10 will be the last season produced by Strings. It has been a fantastic journey for us over the course of four seasons and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to learn and share our work with all of you."

The duo joined the music TV show in 2014 and took over after its initial producer Vital Signs member Rohail Hyatt bowed out of CS in 2013.

Strings departure has been met with a mixed response on social media.

Many were visibly upset at the news.

Others didn't seem as distressed...

But of course, this is not the end. The band assured fans that they have another musical venture in store for them.

"2018 will mark 30 years of Strings and we are super excited to celebrate with all of you so stay tuned for more updates as we embark on yet another exciting chapter in our musical journey!"
