Far from the upbeat song 'Tere Naal', Punjab Nahi Jaungi's latest offering 'Ae Dil' is a song many can relate to.

The song has been sung by Shiraz Uppal and Indo-Canadian singer Jonita Gandhi. The soft vocals are accompanied by a video of heartbreak featuring Humayun Saeed and Mehwish Hayat - brutal, we know!

While the song is pleasing to the ear, the video represents suffering; we see a distressed Mehwish Hayat who can't seem to get Humayun Saeed out of her mind and vice versa. Both are constantly distracted by thoughts of each other.

The video also lends insight into their dissimilar lives. Mehwish Hayat's lavish, contemporary lifestyle is a stark contrast to Humayun Saeed's Punjabi, cultural roots. Will this work out in their favour or not? Gotta wait to find out! Though we're definitely rooting for the two love birds to get together.

Punjab Nahi Jaungi hits cinemas on Eid ul Azha.

Pakistani films give a delightful view of Pakistan to the rest of the world. Doing yoga taking a dip in a pool. Wow, I did not realize what an affluence of a society Pakistan has acquired. To me as a foreigner the economy must be rocking and unemployment is non existent. You all have wiped out poverty and every child is guaranteed of a free school to college education cannot understand why the rest of Asia is struggling?
