Sadaf Kanwal's dance number from Na Maloom Afraad 2 is out now

Hamza Ali Abbasi should probably skip this music video
Updated 27 Jul, 2017

We've been curious about Sadaf Kanwal's dance number in Na Maloom Afraad 2 and it's finally here.

Earlier, Sadaf had told Images that her song is a 'little different with Arabic touches'.

And sure enough, in the video, we see Sadaf get her belly-dancing groove on while an Arab sheikh (Nayyar Ejaz) conducts some shady business with his men-for-hire. Once they're done, they proceed to watch her dance.

It isn't clear from the video if Sadaf's role is to merely entertain the men for this brief amount of time. But for her part, she looks good and dances fine, so there's not much to complain about.

Psst, Hamza Ali Abbasi should probably skip this music video...

I don't know why directors of our movies try to copy Indians. Do our women really dress like this? In how many parties do we see our girls dancing like that? I think what she is doing here in the video is totally against our culture and reality. Why not make a movie which is more relatable to our society and their norms.

@Sarah - Against our culture? I believe the living culture revolves around watching Bollywood movies religiously every day if possible. So this dance number should be very normal - the norm.

Simple solution for people who don't like this for "cultural reasons", Don't watch it. I, for one, will be watching it and I will thoroughly enjoy it

Terrible, not even close to the one by Mewish Hayat in Na Maloom Afraad 1 ...... that is going to be very very hard to top. Everything is wrong including the setting and the girl just does not ' click '.

it is quite confusing that at one end we criticize Indian movies for their trash concepts and wanted to encourage domestic films, but it is seen the our local film makers are exactly following the same concepts of Indian trash movies. It seems the Pakistan still lack professional and talented film makers.

@Sarah if you go deep in the high up so called high society you will see such girls, such dances. I don't think it was necessary but this is the truth and it happens right in this place.

If you are just gonna display this stuff (not Muslim culture stuff) than I think we would be better off with Bollywood/Hollywood or any other Bla Bla Wood movies. At least they display what their culture, really is.

@Sarah As if such dances happen in Indian wedding parties. Learn to differentiate between entertainment meant just for screen (reel) and reality.

We made a choice to watch and broadcast dance in our society and now it pays when our own daughters are doing this. It's still not late to define our culture again and get rid of such immoral acts..

@Sarah when you see some people write against what you said..Just accept this reality as this may be part of their culture or the family they belong to....for sure its not yours and mine culture. I wish we could see the cinema which shows reality of our society in which we live not in which they want us to live:)

Advice to skip the Vdo or simply not watching it is not the point , film makers use these cheap gimmicks to sell their movie . They know that their is not much substance in their efforts . A good story speaks for itself and it will attract audiences despite these vulgar so called item songs .

We Indians too facing such kind of cuts in movies etc. but censors need to know that movies are supposed to be entertaining. That's the reason we have genres of a different kind, every movie can't be motivational, comedy, drama or lectures of teachings.

Fine line between enlightenment and vulgarity. Yes Pakistan should make movies - we have so many stories to share, and with so much talent on hand - but we are making absolute trash in the name of entertainment. Individuals stating this is a movie and how we should be fine with such nonsense - we. Iran has a film industry as well. The movies are class apart. One does not need to go on a nudity rampage to prove how " modern " we are. Such a confused nation. Unbelievable.

Pakistani cinema will lose out to Bollywood which is just better and with a long history of making so-called "masala-movies" and "masala-dance numbers". Pakistan should focus on making serious/real movies: art, action and comedy without the masala factor.

C'mon directors... if really want to copy...copy hollywood. Solid acting , solid creativity and solid story. And have one nice theme song for whole movie in the end... people already having this taste from indian bollywood, you can't go with that for long!!!
