Nabbing an Emmy nod isn't a piece of cake but leave to these two overachievers to make the cut for this year's list.

Riz Ahmed has landed a nomination in the Lead Actor in a Limited TV Series or TV Movie category for his performance in HBO's The NIght Of where he played a college student, Nasir Khan who's wrongfully accused of murder. The category also includes Robert De Niro, Geoffrey Rush and Benedict Cumberbatch.

The Night Of has also received a nod in the Limited Series category. In addition, Riz also landed a nod in the Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, for his appearance in Girls

Aziz Ansari received a nomination for his role as Dev Shah in Masters of None. He will be up against the likes of Zach Galifianakis and Donald Glover for the Lead Actor in a Comedy Series award.

The actor also earned a nomination in the Writing for a Comedy Series category. The show itself has also landed a spot in the Comedy Series category.
