Mahira Khan was invited to attend the Global Teacher Prize in Dubai on Sunday and the star took that opportunity to share how her teachers inspired her ascent to stardom.

The Global Teacher Prize is a US $1 million award presented annually by the Varkey Foundation to an exceptional teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to their profession. This year, Salima Begum from Pakistan made it to the top 10 finalists. The award went to Maggie MacDonnell from Canada.

At the event, Mahira took to the stage to announce the commencement of a National Teacher Prize and described events from her childhood which led her to become the star she is today.

"A few minutes are just not enough to recount all the memories I have and all the influence that my teachers have had on my life," she said before delving into her story.

"Teachers have the power to make a shy little girl like me believe in her dreams. We walk on red carpets, we get to support the causes close to our hearts. people like us — I talk about sportsmen, actors — we do all kinds of things, in fact, people like you and people around the world celebrate our success. But the ones teachers the very people who shape the next generation, don't often get thanked i would say not enough, You are the stars, the true stars."

But that wasn't the only exciting part of the night. The Raees star was also seen bonding with Ranbir Kapoor. The two entered the event together and were inseparable since.

This sherwani is to much big for Ranbir. Ranbir is very slim. he used to wear double and even triple shirts inside. it would be for long term purpose.

Ranbir Kapoor looks like a normal guy walking the street of my town, not very "hero look alike". Just because grandfather was a goid actor does not mean his son and grandson is a good actor...menaing it's not only politics which goes down in generations in India.
