Netflix has picked up and launched its first ever Pakistani drama serials for viewing through its global streaming service.

Drama serials by producer Momina Duraid were included in the streaming service’s library.

Humsafar, Zindagi Gulzaar Hay and Sadqay Tumhare were the serials added to the roster.

“Big milestone for Pakistan digital industry. Congratulations Team Humsafar, Team Zindagi Gulzar Hay and Team Sadqay Tumharay!” said Duraid in a Facebook post.

A previous version of this story incorrectly stated Momina Duraid as a screenwriter. The error is regretted.

Thats awesome, Pakistani drama and second to none in the world. People in Euro, US can see how Pakistan really is and not rely on international news channels.

Momina you don't need validation from Netflix, your work is exceptional regardless. I haven't watched any of these but quality speaks volumes on it's own. Congratulations nevertheless =)

Hmm... No mention of the much bigger Shah Rukh Khan 3 year contract with Netflix. So is this Netflix US or Pakistan, or both?

@Saeed this a sad epitome of the so casual male chauvinism in desi community. Females are made fun of as if they are an object of male bulls eye in a dart ball game. Next time you look yourself in the mirror ask yourself, "why am I so comfortable making fun of women?" And oh by the way, if you get out more, you will probably find out that women go out and work too! How much do YOU weigh btw Saeed?

Congratulations to those involved. Remember the key to success , good story , great acting and sticking to the basics , that's it. Skin exposure , silly stories, intimacy and weird locations will not win you any laurels.
