The excitement is killing us! Sonakshi Sinha's 'Noor' to release on April 21
Fans of the Saba Imtiaz 2014 novel 'Karachi, You're Killing Me!' have been curious about the ongoing production of its Bollywood adaptation, Noor — and now they know when their wait will come to an end.
The film, starring Sonakshi Sinha in the titular role, will release on April 21, it was announced on Twitter.
"While the book - a coming-of-age story of a journalist named Ayesha Khan -- is set in Karachi, Noor will be based in Mumbai and has the eponymous Noor Roy Chaudhary, a 20-something journalist, at its centre," it was earlier revealed by a source.
After the Uri attacks, Sonakshi reiterated that she's not playing a Pakistani in the film.
She said, “All I can say is that I am not playing a Pakistani journalist in the film. The story has been adapted into a Mumbai backdrop.”
"It's a beautiful story that follows Noor as she navigates relationships, career, aspirations, life choices, infatuations and body image issues. Every girl will relate to her," added the source.
Apart from Sonakshi, Noor also stars Youtube star Kanan Gill, Purab Kohli and Sunny Leone in a cameo.
