Rumour: Fawad Khan had an offer to work with Big B!

We've seen Fawad Khan play a nawab, a writer with a secret and a DJ in his Bollywood projects. Was the character of a gangster next for the Khoobsurat star?

The third installment of the Sarkar series is coming up, and rumour has it that this film could have featured Fawad Khan.

Sarkar is a Godfather-inspired crime thriller series starring Amitabh Bachchan in the titular role. Abhishek Bachchan and Kay Kay Menon play his sons in the series, and it's said that Fawad was being roped in to play Big B's grandson. Not sure whose kid he was supposed to be, though!

However, according to a report on Mid-Day, the ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India resulted in the talks coming to a standstill. An informal ban on Pakistani artists is currently in place in India in response to attacks in Uri, Kashmir in late September.

Although rumours say that Fawad had verbally committed to the role, director Ram Gopal Verma ended up casting Sultan actor Amit Sadh in his place.

I would be happiest if he works in bollywood but I think he should work in his own countries' projects because we all know that pak dramas are superb. Even the rarely made movies are far more sensible than khichdi bollywood flims.

Can we, at least for the time being, please stop discussing Pakistanis acting/singing in Indian movies? Indians have decided against casting Pakistanis (at least temporarily), so let's just leave it at that, what's the point of going on about it? Is there nothing else to write about?

What is Big, B.? An actor and his years of popularity in India, right. Fawad is an actor with his own popularity and style. Now, why for DAWN it is a big news that 'Fawad had a chance with Big, B?" Both are actors with their own marketabilities.

I saw his recent movie Ay Dil Hai Mushkil. I am sorry to say he didn’t impress at all. Sharuk Khan and Alia Bhutt had a special appearance but they stole the scene with the little they had, but Fawad was boring even Diana Hyden who played Ranbir Kapoors girlfriend did a great job she and Anushka made every one laugh. I doubt he was playing a major role in this movie with Big B.
