Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor who's recent films have plonked at the box office believes he still has a long way to go.

In an exclusive interview with India Today, the Bombay Velvet actor revealed tidbits about what he's up to.

Commenting on his 'intimate' scenes with Aishwarya Rai in upcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. the actor said, "Who would be uncomfortable shooting intimate scenes with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan?

"But there is nothing of that kind. It is a family film. It is not what it is made out to be. Sometimes reports are extremely exaggerated and unfair and unnecessary, especially towards someone of the stature of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. So nothing of that sort. But wait for the trailer, wait for the film. You will be pleasantly surprised," he added.

When asked if the Bajirao Mastani actor had overtaken the Tamasha star, he replied "I am personally a big fan of his work." Surprise, surprise!

Speaking of his own work hitting rock bottom, Ranbir said, "But I'm very comfortable in the space that I am in, with the people I'm working with. It's not just Ranveer, even Varun, Sushant Singh, Tiger Shroff, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, the entire young batch of actors are doing such amazing work. I am, of course, a little senior to all of them so I had a little bit of a lead, but now they all have caught up. I think it's only going to keep us on our toes. We are only going to push each other to do better work. And I hope with my next few films people give me back love and respect."

The actor may be on shaky ground in the career front, but he is positive about all his film experiences, including Bombay Velvet.

"A film like Bombay Velvet, whatever happened to it, it was one of the most memorable experiences working on the film," he said. "So I think there are no failures, only lessons. Failure only teaches you, makes you a better person. I have a long way to go. I have so much to achieve, so many people to work with and I'm just raring to go."

And fret not Ranbir fans, he's not giving up anytime soon! "I'm rejuvenated, I'm refreshed, passionate, eager, ambitious and I have all these films to work on so I'm really excited," he said.
