The 15th Lux Style Awards (LSAs) are finally all set to take place tonight at the Expo Centre in Karachi — with a promise of glitz, glam, the whole shebang.
The nominations may feel a bit dated (yep, Sadqay Tumharay is still doing the rounds) but here's hoping the LSAs are able to redeem themselves with a star-studded red carpet and an event that pulls out all stops and is high on entertainment.
We give you the lowdown in real time on who showed up, who wore what and most importantly, who won what.
As tired as they may have been after a hectic week, they were not going to miss out on the LSA after party!
And the night (morning, rather) ended on a high note with Mahira and Sheheryar Munawar giving everybody a run for their money with their Shakar Wandaan dance.
We're reminiscing the Ho Mann Jahaan days seeing this couple together!
And Humayun swept the award for Best Actor (Film) for JPNA. Shocker? Somewhat. Guess his comic role won the hearts of the jury!
Up against the actor were Adnan Sarwar for Shah, Danish Taimoor for Wrong No., Hameed Sheikh for Moor and Sarmad Sultan Khoosat for Manto.
Shocking how Manto didn't win a single award at the LSAs this year.
Jamshed Mehmood Raza graciously accepted his award for Best Film Director for Moor.
Other nominees were, Adnan Sarwar for Shah, Momina Duraid & Shahzad Kashmiri for Bin Roye, Nadeem baig for Jawani Phir Nahi Ani and Sarmad Sultan Khoosat for Manto.
Surprise, surprise! Moor takes home the Best Film award.
The pool of nominees in this category included, Manto, Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, Shah, Wrong No..
Much like Nabila's Best Makeup Artist win, Mahira's win for Best Actress (Film) was too, a no-brainer. Congrats to this beauty for her two big wins tonight!
She beat Mehwish Hayat for Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, Samia Mumtaz for Moor, Sania Saeed for Manto and Sohai Abro for Wrong No. to the punch.
These thumkas were what we wanted to see in Ballay Ballay (Bin Roye), Mahira! Finally, some energy!
And she's even pulled in her co-star Humayun Saeed!
Yes, we know you predicted it. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan won the Best Singer (Male) - Film award for Teray Bina Jeena OST Bin Roye.
Other contenders were, Ali Noor & Ali Humza OST Karachi Se Lahore, Ali Sethi for Aah Ko Chahiye OST Manto, Javed Bashir for Talabgaar OST Moor and Rahim Shah for Gul Bashri OST Moor.
We have a tie for Best Singer (Female) - Film, folks! The two winners are Abida Parveen for Maula Maula OST Bin Roye and Zeb Bangesh for Kya Hoga OST Manto.
Here are the other nominees in the category: Meesha Shafi for Eva OST Moor, Harshdeep Kaur for Ballay Ballay OST Bin Roye, Zarrish for Rabbi Ralli OST Karachi Se Lahore.
Fawad Khan may have been late to the event but he made sure he got his red carpet pictures taken!
Hasn't he learnt the art of posing!
Mahira Khan in Feeha Jamshed as she changes for her much-awaited closing performances.
Javed Sheikh won Best Supporting Actor (Film) for his comic role in Jawani Phir Nahi Ani. Bravo, sir! These young boys got nothing on you.
Nominees also included, Ali Safina for Jalaibee, Shaz Khan for Moor, Wasay Chaudhry for Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, Yasir Hussain for Karachi Se Lahore and Ahmed Ali Butt for Jawani Phir Nahi Ani.
Ayesha Khan won Best Supporting Actress (Film) for Jawani Phir Nahi Ani. We must admit, it was a tough win for the actor, especially against Nimra Bucha for Manto.
She was up against, Armeena Rana Khan for Bin Roye, Nimra Bucha for Manto, Sarwat Gillani for Jawani Phir Nahi Ani and Sohai Ali Abro for Jawani Phir Nahi Ani
Woah, a total of three nominations from JPNA!
Ali Zafar pays an ode to all the brave souls who lost their lives this year and the last, including our very own legendary qawwal Amjad Sabri. He is joined by Ali Sethi on stage for a tribute to the slain singer.
The rockstar plans to donate 50% of his payment to the Edhi foundation.
Celebs took to the stage to honour the great Amjad Sabri.
Sabri's brothers and sons were then called on stage and presented with a Lifetime Achievement award in honour of the qawwal. Can't believe he's not with us anymore.
Nilofer Shahid has just been presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award. She dedicated her award to the amazing women of Pakistan, Edhi sahab and our country.
Now that's admirable!
Booya! Another one on the money as Hasnain Lehri wins Model of the Year (Male). Aren't we getting good at this?
This brooding hottie beat Aimal Khan, Jahan -e- Khalid, Shahzad Noor and Waleed Khaild.
But.. but.. but.. Amna Babar? Guess it's Fouzia Aman's year as she bags Model of the Year (Female). Strangely, Sadaf Kanwal is way too happy for her... hmmm...
She won against Amna Babar, Nooray Bhatti, Rabia Butt and Sadaf Kanwal.
Best Fashion Photographer award goes to Abdullah Haris, because... have you seen his phenomenal photography for Pepe Jeans? Enough said.
Nominees also included, Ayaz Anis, Guddu Shani, Rizwan ul Haq and Shahbaz Shazi.
And this was a no-brainer, Best Hair and Make-up Artist went to Nabila, making it her 10th LSA win. Damn girl! Where does she put all those accolades? Bet she has a separate room solely for her awards. Yeah, definitely.
Her contenders were Hannan Siddique, Omayr Waqar, Raana Khan and Shammal Qureshi for Toni & Guy (North Pakistan).
Fawad takes to the stage with our man Ahmed Ali Butt, clearly the JPNA actor has become a favourite. Permanent host for all award shows now, maybe?
Best Emerging Talent went to photographer Alee Hassan!
Other nominees in the category were, Ammara Khan (Designer), Anum Malik (Model), Hira Shah (Model) and Zara Abid (Model).
Sohai Ali Abro turns up the heat, again! She did admit she loves to dance, and we love watching her on stage.
Whether she has to bust some serious thumkas or do a slow dance on Kapoor & Son's Bolna, this woman can work wonders.
Best Menswear Designer award went to Amir Adnan. Though we must admit, we feel cheated, we were really leaning towards Omar Farooq for Republic for the win tonight.
The list of nominees included: Ahmed Bham, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, Nauman Arfeen and Omar Farooq for Republic.
One after the other! Faraz Manan wins yet again, this time for Achievement in Fashion Design - Bridal! Can't say he isn't deserving, his designs are superb!
He beat Ali Xeeshan, Elan (a BIG deal!), Shehla Chatoor and The House of Kamiar Rokni.
Generation won the award for Achievement in Fashion Design - Pret. We want to say 'told ya so' to all our readers, but we'll just sit here with a smug look on our faces.
Here are the other contenders, Coco by Zara Shahjahan, Daaman, Sana Safinaz and Sapphire.
Psst, told ya so!
Shamaeel Ansari may have gotten the least amount of votes in our poll, but the judges saw what we probably didn't which is why she bagged the Achievement in Fashion Design - Luxury Pret award.
And boy, was her competition tough: Mahgul, Misha Lakhani, Muse and Sania Maskatiya.
On to fashion. So Faraz Manan won Achievement in Fashion Design - Lawn. We were rooting for Elan, oh well...
Nominees included, Elan, Sana Safinaz, Sania Maskatiya and Zara Shahjahan.
Oh look who's here! The party starter! Fawad Khan is finally at the LSAs even if he is fashionably late (a bit too late if you ask us!).
Are the sirens on? Because there sure is fire up on that stage with Farhan Saeed stripping down to a vest.
This couple is inseparable. Check out Urwa and Farhan's dance:
And again:
No, she is (hopefully) not going to slip on stage this year.
Okay so Mahira Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi got the Best Dressed award. Fine... maybe we were wrong about vests. They could.. maybe.. be a thing after all.
Ali Zafar wins Song of the Year for Rockstar, because he's a rockstar (duh!) and he deserved it! You don't mess with those vocals, sir.
His acceptance speech though, is awesome.
These guys didn't stand a chance against Ali: Jogiya by Javed Bashir, Sarak Sarak by Mai Dhai Band, Shakar Wandaan by Asrar Shah and Tamasha by Khumariyaan.
Noori's first ever LSA! Well, those 10 years of hard work finally paid off as the team takes home Album of the Year award for Begum Gul Bakaoli Sarfarosh. Truly well deserved!
They were up against Bahadur Yaar Jung by E Sharp, Ismail ka Urdu Sheher by Zohaib Kazi, Saturday Night Killing Machine by Adil Omar and Talal Qureshi and Till the End of Time by Natasha Humera Ejaz
Just like we predicted, Best Music Video Director goes to Salman Noorani for Mariam by Mooroo. High-five, readers, we can easily be the judges for next year's LSAs, what say?
Other nominees were Adil Omar for Nighat & Paras by Adil Omar & Talal Qureshi, Kamal Khan for Wake Up/Jaago by Zohaib Kazi, Nadir Shehzad Khan for Baaghi by Sikandar Ka Mandar and Natasha Humera Ejaz & Shahrukh Khurshid for Khwab by Natasha Humera Ejaz.
Kamiar Rokni just announced Slowspin as the Best Emerging Talent (Singer). Woot woot!
Here's a list of the other nominees in the category, Ali Suhail, Mehdi Maloof, SomeWhatSuper and The Tamashbeens.
Butt wants to host the LSAs with Mawra Hocane, but it looks like he may just be regretting that decision now!
Ladies, to the front! Can you spot all the stars in this photo?
Did he dare call the most hated woman on TV, a.k.a Jeena? We love Ayesha Khan though, Jeena... eh, not so much.
Because Butt HAD to call the Diyar-e-Dil duo on stage and then have them sing with helium voices? What is happening here?
Next up, Humayun Saeed.
His find inside the box, however, is a Lux bar, which Butt asks him to sell in his Mc Dreamy style. Not surprisingly, Humayun Saeed calls his best bud, Vasay Chaudhry to get romantic with.
Who says Butt he can't be serious and funny, all the same.
He called Hamza Ali Abbasi on stage and said: We love Hamza for speaking the truth. Then asked the Pyarey Afzal actor to reach inside the box, and guess what he pulled out? A tape. Hamza aptly put it on his mouth and said, "Thank-you for banning me from the LSA."
Kudos. Well played, boys. Well played.
Trust this funnyman to crack up the audience. Ahmed Ali Butt takes to the stage in a blind fold and tries to sniff out the stars! What a riot this guys is, says, "From Meera to Resham to Mahira and now Fawad, Lux has gone far... we prepared actors... for India!"
Guess who's firing up the dance floor? The one and only Sohai Ali Abro!
Loving her energy.
And Best TV Play went to Diyar-e-Dil, Sultana Siddiqui accepted the award on behalf of Momina Duraid.
Mohabbat Aag Si, Muqaddas, Rang Lagaa and Sadqay Tumhare had no chance against the much-loved Maya Ali-Osman Khalid Butt starrer.
Anjum Shahzad grabs his Best TV Director win for Rang Laaga.
Sorry Aamir Yousuf for Aap ki Kaneez, Ehteshamuddin for Sadqay Tumhare, Haseeb Hassan for Diyar-e-Dil and Sabiha Sumar for Khuda Dekh Raha Hai, this one was not for you.
Faysal Qureshi won Best Actor (TV) for Rang Laaga. Sorry readers, looks like we got this one right!
Although we must admit, he had tough competition with Osman Khalid Butt for Diyar-e-Dil, Adnan Malik for Sadqay Tumhare, Noman Ijaz for Zinda Dargor and Noor Hassan for Muqaddas up against him.
And wouldn't you know it, Mahira Khan wins Best Actress (TV) for Sadqay Tumhare and dedicated her award to her father.
Her dad's in attendance at the awards. However, in the sea of people, she doesn't know where he's sitting. How cute is her dad, even the audience can't stop going 'awww'. Moral support ftw!
For a minute we thought Mahira was going to have a Jennifer Lawrence moment on stage! Phew, quick save!
And the award for Best Writer (TV) goes to Khalil-ur-Rehman for Sadqay Tumhare.
Would you believe Ali Zafar praised Khalil ur Rehman and then asked him to write something for the singer. Gotta love the guy for his sense of humour!
He beat Adeel Razzaq for Muqaddas, Farhat Ishtiaq for Diyar-e-Dil, Imran Nazir for Mohabbat Aag Si and Sana Fahad for Rang Laaga.
Zeb Bangash just won the award for Best OST (TV) for Diyar-e-Dil. Pretty sure our readers are happy with this win.
Other nominees in this category were Shafqat Amanat Ali, Ahmed Jahanzeb, Bushra Bilal and Shafqat Salamat Ali & Beena Khan.
These boys aren't going to go easy. They just joked that the only hits Mahira ever gave were her ads. But she's a good sport about it, just look at her blushing.
Yasir Hussain and Ali Zafar take the stage as hosts for the night. We're sure they're winning hearts of all the girls there with their charm and charisma.
Ali Zafar is in the house to get the party started! All he needs is a guitar and a mic and we're all ears.
And we definitely don't mind him busting some dance moves on stage
The three stunners on the red carpet!
Nabila, Frieha Altaf, the Hocane sisters, Farhan Saeed and Ayesha Omar are all smiles as they cosy up for group photo
Did our heart just do a back-flip? Because Shahroz Sabzwari just upped the ante by a thousand notches! Where's his wife though? Missing those dimples, Syra Shahroz.
Usually we like Mawra's quirky style, but this dress is a bit of a let down. Too old for the young starlet. And the hair? A 'sweety, no', moment if you ask us.
Say hiii to Team Images!
Attitude? Check. Fiery hot dress? Check. Sultry look? Double Check.
If it were up to us, she'd go home with the Model of the Year award tonight,
Our hearts are rooting for this hottie to take home the award tonight for Diyar-e-Dil, what we're not rooting for, is this jacket. Fashion faux pas
Too hot to handle! Mahira Khan slaying tonight... not like that's a surprise tbh.
A glimpse of behind-the-scenes.
Maya Ali and Ayesha Omar are total glam dolls on the red carpet tonight!
We knew Sadaf Kanwal would look like a dream the minute we found out she was wearing a Nomi Ansari ensemble to the LSAs.
Cute couple alert! Ahmed Ali Butt looks dapper in his tux, and his wife is looking fineee.
Loving this peekaboo black and white dress on Meesha Shafi. Don't miss the bling!
Tapu Javeri shying away from the camera? Guess he's more comfortable behind one.
Ushna Shah looking radiant as ever, thanks to team Nabila!
Rabia Butt and HSY know how to up the ante when it comes to fashion.
The host for the night in this beautiful Tena Durrani number. Quick question: Didn't Ayesha Omar sport the same hairstyle at last year's LSAs? There's no denying that it does suit her!
Because the red carpet is all about glam. Rabia Butt and Ayesha Omar didn't think twice before striking a pose.
Don't forget Ayesha Omar's Giuseppe Zanotti heels! They're giving us shoe envy!
Did our very own Alia Bhatt aka model Parisheh James just wear a menu to the LSAs? We love burgers, but not on our clothes.
This does not look like a Nomi Ansari from anywhere. Major let down.
Sorry Ahmed Ali Butt, it ain't gonna be about you tonight, seems like all eyes will be on your beautiful wife Ayesha Khan whistles.
Guess we were wrong about those vests! As always, Hamza Ali Abbasi stays true to himself and opts for a simple shalwar kameez and a vest to take it up a notch.
Ayesha Fazli givin' us the cold shoulder in Saira Shakira. Her dress is blue, just by the way. Yeah, we confused it for black too.
Sari? And this one? Really Mathira? We love the Mansoor Akram bling, but come on, we were hoping you'd go for a better outfit.
Oh.Hot.Damn. Ayesha Omar has entered the building, we repeat, Ayesha Omar has entered the building, folks!!
Errr pjs may be in fashion, but Ali Xeeshan cannot work them even if his life depended on it. Sorry, but only Deepika Padukone can rock this trend like nobody's business.
Somebody call 911, we've got the Rockstar duo ready to drop some major couple envy at the LSAs.
How adorbs are these guys?
Behroz Sabzwari and his wife are one of the first celebs on the red carpet. Curious to see what his beautiful daughter-in-law, Syra Shahroz will be wearing tonight!
Lookie! The model we're cheering for, Hasnain Lehri in the house wearing Muse tonight.
Hassan Rizvi channels his inner Gatsby in a grey suit, his wife though looks like a dreamy Disney princess.
VJ-turned-host Faizan Haque is ready for some action, and we are too! Speed it up, guys!
Moor actor Shaz Khan spotted at the red carpet looking charming as ever!
We spot Javed Sheikh with his daughter, and Bollywood debutante, Momal Sheikh at the LSAs! What do you think of Momal's pink Shehla Chatoor dress?
