Until Fawad Khan confirms his next Bollywood venture, it appears that the rumour mill will not come to a rest.

The latest on the grapevine is that he has bagged a role in another Karan Johar film, and this time it's a solo hero project.

The part was initially offered to his Kapoor & Sons co-star Siddharth Malhotra, reports Mid-Day.

According to a source, "Initially, Sidharth Malhotra was being considered for the role. But, later, Karan approached Fawad and he immediately agreed to be part of it. He fits the bill and this film will mark his first solo hero outing in Bollywood."

Fawad, who will make a brief appearance in KJo's upcoming Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, enjoys a great relationship with the career-making producer.

Another source said, "The filmmaker-actor jodi is willing to collaborate on more films since they share a good rapport. They have been spotted together on numerous occasions and have discussed few ideas as well as scripts. Fawad recently signed a film after he liked the script."

An official announcement is likely to be made once Karan finalises the lead actress and the director.

Dear Fawad, Please go back and enrich your dwindling film industry, also if possible take along the other Pakistan actors with you. We have no dearth of talent in our country.
