Forget fabulous friends. If there's one sure sign of Fawad Khan's success in India, it is this: a Fawad Khan festival is kicking off across the border this weekend.

An initiative of Zindagi TV, an Indian channel that exclusively airs popular Pakistani content, the Fawad Khan festival will run for almost a month, from July 9 to August 7. On the agenda is lots and lots of re-runs of his hit TV serials - Numm, Zindagi Gulzar Hai and of course, Humsafar!

Think weekends filled with re-runs. Humsafar will air on Saturday 9th July and Sunday 10th July, Zindagi Gulzar Hai will air on Sunday 17th July and Sunday 24th July and Numm will air on Sunday 31st July and Sunday 7th August.

As a special Eid treat, Zindagi will air his Bollywood debut flick, Khoobsurat. The only thing missing is his latest hit, Kapoor & Sons - and a musical throwback to his rocker days!

There's also a #FawadFestival contest, where viewers will send their love to the heartthrob through a special Whatsapp contest.

i can comment from India that nobody in India cares for this actor. If he walks on any street in India, people will not even recognize him.

How is it a festival, if its a pakistani shows channel conducting re-runs. Things are being blown out of proportions here. 99.9% of Indians don't know who this guy is.

If actors and artists like him were given enough respect and opportunities in pakistan they would not have tp flock to India.

It's great to see my Pakistani friends being proud of Fawad, but honestly very few people actually know him. There are far bigger celebs in Bollywood. FK is just another cross border import who will soon disappear like others before him.

@abc Yeah thats why Bollywood is dying to sign Pakistani TV actor in thier movies. Fawad is just a over rated actor. There are lots of actors in Pakistan much better looking them him and much better actors then him.

Fawad is famous for pimping his wife in Bollywood. He even offered her to a minister to extend his visa.

Yes for non-Hindi speaking population in India he may be a nobody for them. However, they would know him well if he becomes successful star in Bollywood. So far so good for Fawad Khan in india.
