Will third time be the charm, as he prepares to shoot his next film with favourites, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh?

According to Deccan Chronicle, Sanjay Leela Bhansali will begin shooting for his next film Padmavati in September and aims to finish filming in six months.

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have signed on to play the roles of Allauddin Khilzi and Rani Padmavati roles respectively.

According to the rumor mill, Vicky Kaushal has also been finalized in the roster to play Deepika Padukone's husband in this period love story.

According to sources close to the maker, Padmavati revolves around the tyrant emperor Allauddin Khilzi and and his obsession with the queen of Chittor, Rani Padmavati.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is know for his period films. The filmmaker has worked previously with Ranveer and Deepika in Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani. This will be their third collaboration and Deepika's first project after returning from Hollywood. Knowing the history of this trio we won't be surprised if Priyanka Chopra has a guest appearance!
