Naveen Waqar to star in short film 'Musafir' with Imran Abbas
Now that's one pairing we're excited to see come together onscreen.
Imran Abbas and Naveen Waqar will be appearing in Sakina Samo's upcoming short film, Musafir, which has been shot in Pakistan and will be primarily shown abroad at festivals.
Talking to Images about her role, the Humsafar star reveals, "The character I'm playing is of a girl who suffers from severe depression and is suicidal. The movie is about life and how people that you least expect can give you hope for a brighter future. I found the script just beautiful when Sakina offered it to me."
"Before this, I had shot this telefilm with Sakina, which is yet to hit television screens; she's very creative and gives you a lot of room to play as an actor."
Currently, Waqar says she's also working on another project called Deewar Bhi Nahi, with Ahsan Khan and Emmad Irfani, which will be screened after Eid.
Musafir, which has been written by Ali Moen and produced by Real Entertainment, will be released sometime by the end of this year. Until then, the actress is reading scripts and on the lookout for something different to catch her eye.
