Reham Khan lashes out, says rumours about her termination are lies

One thing's for sure, she's not going down without a fight
Updated 17 Jun, 2016

Don't you hate it when you don't get your salary on time?

Well, so does Reham Khan, who took to Twitter last night to blast her former employers for not paying its staffers.

The former Tabdeeli host was also angry about the fact that her current affairs show was pulled off the air without prior notice.

She also defended the content of her show.

The ex-wife of PTI chairman, Imran Khan, had joined the channel in December to host the show in hopes of bringing "honest journalism" to Pakistan. Reportedly, the show didn't manage to rack up the ratings that the network was hoping for and it was shelved altogether.

Reham fans discredited this claim as they shared old posts by Neo which contradicted low ratings.

Reham wrapped it up by giving working ladies some career advice.

She also added that they haven't been paid in over two months.

More power to Reham for calling out a lack of work ethics and professionalism!

My support to Reham. She is a brave and honest lady but I think her problems in life are still not over. God bless you.

Self praise is no praise. It is clear proof of being a loser. Praise is what is earned and demonstrated by the unsolicited public applause.

These channels apparently hired her for her divorce with imran they wanted to make money out of it but now because the incidence is fading out of people mind and no one is interested in reham imran divorce so for them her job is over. As far as I remember before her marriage with Imran khan she wasn't very popular. She is a strong woman and I wish her best of luck

I have never been a regular viewer of Neo, except watching glimpses of her programme. So it doesn't bother me if the proram had a low or high rating. What bothers me, however, the professional ethics of Neo management who have not paid their employee/employees for 2 months. This is a general trend in our unethical and criminal businessmen and they should be made to pay their employees by selling their houses, buildings, cars, jewellery or imprison them.

That's too bad. The NEO should have issued a termination letter.

I suggest she stay from two words: tabdeeli and politics. She should start a morning show; it'll be a definite success.

It was undoubtedly a very nice and factual presentation of the ground realities and the show was even better than capital talk of hamid mir

Not a fan of Reham, but totally support her stand against media owners, who are not paying their staffs' salaries. Bravo!

Not paying the employees is definitely condemable but it is true that Reham Khan's talk show was a complete flop. It was bound to go off air. I won't blame the channel for that as the channel needs to make money as well.

Neo should be criticized for not paying their employees and for terminating the contract without any notice. Reham should take the Neo management to the court. Neo shouldn't get away with it. That said, I found the show to be quite mediocre and run-of-the-mill, similar to most other talk shows with lots of sound and fury but not much material. I'm curious to know who are the "professors & vice chancellors across the country" who have praised the show so much.

Unfortunately Reham is not addressing the English people,or Western society, she must count the mindset of majority of people in Pakistan, who still needs time to be educated,or literate, the mindset is so wild in Pakistan that honor killings are daily reported, forced conversions are going on. I hope Reham will deliver programmes as per public betterment in a soft way.

Her programme was quite humdrum and jejune type with no big political names as guests .She is more suitable as a morning show host due to her charismatic personality , ability to create drama and singing ability .

It was a horrendous show. She is boring and intellectually unexciting. And really full of herself. And uses the gender card to hide her incompetence. One feels sorry for her but she is too self-absorbed and frankly a very ordinary anchor. Not paying salaries is of course a grave injustice.

My comment is an advice for Reham. You are doing so many things: You are living a celebrity life, you are a journalist and an anchor, you are a social media activist, you are a film director, you are working for street children, you are working for IDPSs, you mingle with politics and you do many other things. But this life is very short. Please choose one line so that you do really something unforgettable.

Narcissist to the full, her ego doesn't allow any introspection - she is a woman who is committed to her own self promotion irrespective of the personal cost or to that of her children... IK totally overlooked the warning signs and felt she'd be content in a support role - hopefully his judgement will improve!

She is a lovely person but a little off the line. I hope she survives all what has been happening for quite some time. She deserves better treatment and my advice is that she should move out of the country and work in the west. She is a woman and that is not a good thing for an independent person in Pakistan. I hope she finds her place. Wishing her the best.
