Mawra goes house hunting in Mumbai

"I've been living in a hotel for the past year and I am tired of it." shares the 22-year-old actress
15 Jun, 2016

Ever since Mawra made her Bollywood debut in Sanam Teri Kasam, she's been flip-flopping between Pakistan and India.

It's not a secret that she's taken a liking to spending time across the border and so not really shocking that she's looking to rent out a place out there.

Talking to Hindustan Times, the 22-year-old actress reveals: "I've been living in a hotel for the past year and I am tired of it. I want my own space. I've been house-hunting in Mumbai for some time now and I should zero in on one in the next few days."

“My routine is similar to that of a nomad but I crave for the comforts enjoyed by a normal girl. In fact, while shooting for Sanam Teri Kasam, I turned my vanity van into my room.”

The Aahista Aahista leading lady is all praise for India. She shared that she had received “a lot of love and respect here”.

“I am happy with the variety of work I’m getting here and the mix of people I have met,” she adds.

Mawra, who has grown up watching Bollywood films, also said she “admires” Priyanka Chopra. “I feel that my career mirrors hers. She is working in the U.S. and in India, while I shuttle between Pakistan and India. I cherish the feedback I have received from her on Twitter,” says Mawra, who hasn’t met Priyanka but “would like to meet her someday”

Mawra is currently looking forward to heading out on a vacation before she begins working on her next film. “I am visiting Europe for 20 days with my sister and will also be going to Sydney, Australia, where my parents stay for Eid,” she reveals.

@shiva Another Indian failing to see a situation with rationality. She is just an average actress who will contribute a few more flops to bollywood, but intolerance and irrationality seem to be trademark of most Indians. (& also lying when it suits you)

@50 Shades of Khaki It says USA/West is better than India. And by that same token, when people move from Pakistan to India, you know what that means...

Pakistan film industry is too small and doesn't have much scope that's why actors from there come to India. Have you seen any actor from outside coming there?
