We should get permission to work in Pakistan: Anil Kapoor

The Slumdog Millionaire star is really feeling the love for his Pakistani fans

He's worked in Bollywood, he's worked in Hollywood and now Anil Kapoor is all for working in Pakistan.

The Slumdog Millionaire star mentioned the latter in an interview with Voice of America, where he expressed his gratitude to his Pakistan fans and professed his desire to visit them.

"I get a lot of joy when I find out that the people there [in Pakistan] our brothers and sisters, they enjoy our films. This is our work, to make people happy, whether they be from Hindustan or Pakistan. For us the whole world is one," said Anil.

The actor favours the idea of collaborations between Pakistan and India. According to him, "This should happen, one hundred percent. Co-productions need to happen, we should get permission to work in Pakistan... And the censor board should be liberal towards the films, towards us. It will be better for the films."

The 24 star is very eager to come to Pakistan and is excited for an opportunity that would let him. "If I ever get an invitation to Pakistan, I'm on board any time! I think, very soon, I will be coming to Pakistan. I always say this and honestly I am aching to come there."

Though he is past his peak now but Pakistan's movie budget can't hire him ,unless he do a film for charity.

Arts cannot be contained in boundaries. As Indians are fans of our tv dramas and music, so are we in love with Bollywood. And who doesn't know that most of the mega stars in Bollywood have their roots in Pakistan particularly Peshawar. He is hundred percent correct to call us brothers and sisters. Anil Kapoor has been famous in Pakistan since the 80s. we have watched his movies wo 7 din, meri Jung, ram Lakhan, Lamhe and so many many more. he used to look great against Sri Devi and Madhuri. my favourite though is chambeli Ki Shadi and Saheb but both these films were with Amrita Singh. it will be very good if he can get to work in Pakistani movies or dramas.

@John I beg to differ with you. Anil Kapoor is a very high caliber actor and millions of Pakistanis love him and would love to see him in Pakistani movie. I don't think you have seen Anil Kapoor's movie, with him as main character, just watch "woh saat din"!
