Wait, what? Fawad admits he's threatened by Mahira Khan and Saba Qamar

"I have been a mediocre representation of Pakistani talent. I think they will do much better than me," says Fawad

He's a sought after face for magazine covers, he rubs shoulders with all the big stars, the career-making producer Karan Johar is smitten with him, but Fawad Khan says he still feels threatened by the small contingent of Pakistani actors that are now finding work in Bollywood.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Fawad was asked what he thinks of the arrival of his Pakistani colleagues like Mahira Khan and Saba Qamar in Bollywood. He said, "I will be selfish to say, 'It is not an exciting time for me (laughs).' I don’t differentiate between sexes. So, I feel they are as much of a competition to me as any male actors."

The Kapoor & Sons star epitomised humility as he added, "I am happy, but I might just be a bit insecure, because I have been a mediocre representation of Pakistani talent. There is a wealth of talent back home. Seeing other Pakistani actors entering this market is a great feeling, and I wish them the very best in life. I think they will do much better than me."

While he claims that "offers are not pouring [in]" from Bollywood, he's said to have been approached for Salman Khan's film, Jugalbandi. But he refuses to confirm or deny this rumour. "Let’s just say that we have been in talks with a lot of people, maybe Jugalbandi is one of them. [...] I don’t like talking about anything until I haven’t penned it down on a piece of paper."

So far, Fawad's known projects are Pakistani films Albela Rahi and Maula Jutt remake.

Going retrospect i recall the way his crying in 2nd last episode of humsafar, Have never seen any actor crying like this. He shd'nt be afraid of the duo, has got way ahead talent.

As becoming a great actor/performer to be, he displays immense modesty, While there will, over time, be many actors working in Bollywood for the sheer reason of talent, opportunities and being in demand by over 1.5+bn people , young Fawad will stand out and be more popular because he is very likable as a person.

I like his honesty about Saba Qamar because she is superbly talented but Mahira is just about ok. Yes he's got competition with likes of Saba Qamar and Sajal Ali ( another very talented actress)

*' I don’t differentiate between sexes. So, I feel they are as much of a competition to me as any male actors."* Gained respect for that comment. That is the way to look at it - performance wise.
