Ancient coins, currency notes and stamps were displayed at an international exhibition held at the Pakistan Sports Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PSGMEA) here on Thursday.

The centuries-old coins, currency notes and stamps of at least 195 countries were displayed for public viewing.

The visitors, mostly students of colleges and universities, evinced keen interest in the knowledge-gaining exhibition.

They said the ancient coins, currency notes and stamps revealed a lot about the ancient cultures and different civilisations of the world.

Visitors also took keen interest in a rare currency note of Antarctica which had been issued by the United Nations Organisation (UNO) on Jan 9, 2010.

PSGMEA Chairman Irfan Elahi, senior vice-chairman Zarar Ahmad Dodhy, vice-chairman Asad Bashir and secretary-general Mohsin Saud were also present.
