Vidya Balan sure loves Pakistani dramas!

They are her binge-watching shows of choice when she wants to unwind after a long day of shooting, the actress said on Twitter:

She went on to name her favorites and gave two thumbs up to the production value of those serials:

Sanam Baloch and Sabreen Hisbani must be flattered as Vidya Balan particularly gushed about how good a job the female actors did.

Plus, she seems really into Urdu!

Vidya Balan is currently working on TE3N and Kahaani 2, but she takes the time out to tune in to her favorite Pakistani dramas for the love of good television.

And we love her for it!

I remember watching 'dhoop kinare' and 'tanhaaiyaan'. Loved them. Haven't seen any Pakistani television dramas for a long time. But I think they are better than Indian television dramas/soaps.

Pakistani serial sticks when you starts watching them than as an India I got bored by the same stories cousin girls fighting for cousin boy and all are serious and rona dhona and than I gave up.

@Vivek Indian television dramas are for entertainment whereas Pakistani dramas portrays sadness of life which Indian faces in day to day life and when you want some entertainment if you switch on Pakistani dramas its like watching your real pain on the TV,means you are liking your pain.

I love the same serials. Got addicted to Zindagi channel. Then saw all the serails on youtube. The hero in Mere Harjai is out of this world. He has also acted in Do kadam door thay. The good thing about Pakistani serials is their language, dialogues, realistic portrayal, good looking actors. Of course the story end in 20-25 episodes. They are not stretched till inifinity!

Best thing about Pakistani dramas is that you can watch them while sitting in your family respectfully without holding remote in your hand ( no need to change channel all of sudden ). Secondly they are not stretched unnecessarily . Third reason is ...urdu is one of the sweetest languages.

@Satt Do not blame you. I as Pakistani also get bored with this regular cousin and rona dhona feature ...almost in every serial. But we do have very amazing artist who will no doubt do full justice to any story /plan/challenge presented to them. They are very high class but the current trend need to change. Serials can not only be based on the current conventions but they can teach our audience and help them evolve so that they can appreciate and enjoy things beyond cousins/rona dhona stuff.

Ekta Kapoor had spoiled Indian TV dramas by introducing Saas Bahu Serial. Otherwise there were plenty of good Indian TV shows like nukkad, Byomkesh Bakshi etc.
