Confirmed: Deepika to head to Hollywood with XXX — Xander Cage Returns

Will the leading man Vin Diesel be romancing Deepika in the upcoming movie?

While most rumours are baseless, some stem from the truth.

For a while now, it had been doing the rounds that Bollywood's sweetheart Deepika Padukone would be making her way to Hollywood. She added fuel to that fire when she uploaded this Instagram post where she has also tagged F&F main man Vin Diesel.

However, the guessing game has come to an end.

The director of the sequel to XXX: The Return Of Xander Cage, D.J. Caruso seems to be more forthcoming than she is. In a Twitter exchange, he confirmed that Deepika is in fact part of the cast and shooting for the movie will commence in January.

Vin Diesel starred as the leading man in 2002’s XXX. A sequel, XXX: State of the Union hit theaters in 2005 and now the third big screen action flick that has been in the pipeline for years is finally moving forward.

Jet Li and Tony Jaa will also be joining the cast, along with Conor McGregor and Samuel L. Jackson.

Who's excited? We know we are!

If Bollywood actresses are going to Hollywood, the least they take do is sign up for good movies with a talented cast. Not stupid moneymakers

Indian actors dream is to get a big hollywood movie with big director and big star cast on the other hand pakistani actors dream is to get a big bollywood movie with big banner ang big star cast. There is no wrong in these cycle. If pakistani actors succeeds in bollywood then they also will get hollywood movies. Its the matter of time.

@hassan Yes that's how the market economy works. There are no boundaries. It is the most natural manifestation of human enterprise which seeks better opportunities. Just as the water finds it's own level, the human en-devour flows from a place with less opportunities to to a place with more opportunities.

Lord have mercy. Now Hollywood will start looking like Bollywood with English accents and terrible acting. Bollywood is not even a real name.

Mixing Bollywood in Hollywood or visa versa will always useful when you want to promote your movie in different cultures. Now whoever is a fan of Depika will definitely going to watch this movie, even he is not a fan of English movies :)

@MB If you look at stars like Priyanka and Deepika even in Bollywood they sign mostly dumb money-spinners. Only actors like Irrfan, Anil Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Om Puri have signed better movies in Bollywood.

@GA Who said Hollywood has never had accents? Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean Claude Van Damme and Jackie Chan all speak with their respective accent. Tom Hanks practiced to speak in a eastern european accent for the movie `Terminal'. Adam Sandler spoke a middle eastern accent in `You don't mess with the Zohan'. So what's wrong with some Indian accent now and then? After all, all English speaking countries in the world have a vibrant Indian community.
