Think the Shahrukh-Kajol jori is overrated? This video proves otherwise

A hilarious video by comedy troupe The Viral Fever shows how many youngsters' existence depends on their romance

Before choosing sides in the debate on whether it is wise to spend those bucks on Dilwale or not, let's all just agree that the sole reason people are flocking to cinemas is the return of onscreen couple Shahrukh Khan and Kajol after five years.

What if you're one of those few who still can't understand the fandom behind this iconic jori?

Indian comedy troupe The Viral Fever has released a video to answer exactly that.

Starting with a group of Shahrukh-Kajol lovers waiting for Dilwale to start, the video titled 'Bhaag Jeetu Bhaag — The Jodi Awakens' shows how one guy Jitu refuses to acknowledge the importance of the two actors — only to be followed by an agency with agents holding guitars playing 'Tujhe Dekha Tou Ye Jana Sanam'.

`

`

As Jeetu runs for his life, he finally gets caught by the agents (his friend being one of them) who take him to an interrogation room where the jori shows up. While Jitu tries to defend the argument by comparing them to on-screen couples like Jaun-Bipasha, Hrithik-Kareena and Ranveer-Deepika, Shahrukh and Kajol cut him off at every point, making him admit that their jori is indeed the best ever.

Although Dilwale failed to impress critics it has raked in more than 200 crore at the box office.

But then Shahrukh was thankful for this video so enough said!

That's why we are so far behind Hollywood. Stuck with personalities in every field of life.

And even SRK and Kajol would themselves admit in private that they look decidedly dull and weird as a couple romancing on the screen now.. almost haggard.

Overhyped. Overaged. Overconfident, time to get over him. Ranveer is the new rising star on the horizon.

Sadly, we in our movies lay way too much importance to youth and youthful love/romance. 50 isn't old for a guy or a girl to fall in love again, but it has to be properly treated like in western movies. Romance at 45-50 doesn't mean singing in the Alps. With age you become wiser and appreciate different things. But desire for love and companionship never changes.

Seriously, disappointed with the film. There was nothing in the movies to captivate you. No story, Immature acting by SRK younger brother whatever his name was- and SRK reminds me of Pakistan's great movie actor Muhammad Ali- who kept on playing college boy roles- when he was old enough to be the dad of the heroes. SRK- Please make some good movies- you have lot of talent!!
