Superhero Burka Avenger is set to face the bad guys once again.

Her eponymous TV show hits screens today, as a new gang of baddies descends upon her (fictional) town of Halwapur.

There's the mysterious Ranjha Hood and a dreaded Jack in the Box (that grows up to ten times its size and ensnares anything in its path).

As Burka Avenger trounces her enemies, the show will teach its young viewers a host of important lessons, such as stealing is wrong and the dangers of impure food. Other themes of the show will include sectarian violence, deforestation, animal cruelty and gender empowerment.

"One of the key messages that we want to give the youth is that with courage and unity, anything is possible," said the show creator Haroon Rashid.

The new season also features returning cameos from Haroon and Josh, while past contributions by Ali Azmat and Adil Omar will also be part of the soundtrack.

The show airs on Nickelodeon Pakistan at 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm.
