Justin Trudeau wins hearts (again) by welcoming Syrian Refugees at the airport

The first day of the arrival of Syrian refugees in Canada was marked by many warm moments, as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was present at the Toronto airport to personally welcome them.

Before the refugees arrived, Trudeau was swarmed by airport staff and the public for selfies:

The attention, of course, was directed to the refugees when they landed at the Toronto airport:

The people, in Canada and all over the world, are smitten by Trudeau's hospitality - after all, this photo op seemed more genuine than heartfelt that the standard political fare.

This is called the real inclusive and progressive society. All Muslim refugees should embrace Canada and should uphold its Secular and Tolerant values. This is the example of the liberal society that countries like ours should follow as well.

Trudue is such a nice human being. As a PM he came to airport to receive the refugees and provided coats, jacket to make sure they are comfortable.This is a lesson to all other prime ministers and president who just are confined to AC rooms and lavish extravaganza at govt costs. Long live Trudue and Long live Canada. A proud Canadian.

Wish PM Modi does similar things for minorities soon and make historical moment for India for inclusiveness. Believe he has started friendship with Pakistan and hope he can deliver results. I appreciate PM modi's effort to do good for country but little gesture towards minorities will be great for India in long run.

I met our young and handsome Prime Minister along with my sister, who was a diplomat's wife, over two years ago in the Parliament building. This young man sounded humble, honest and sincere. I told my sister after meeting him that sis we just met the next Prime Minister of Canada. Although his ingredients are not good for a politicians, he proved that an honest and sincere politician can have the trust of a nation. I am 73 years old and never ever seen a leader of a country welcoming refugees at the airport. This also proves to me what a great country Canada is. How Canadians have opened their hearts to refugees is simply unbelievable. My appeal to the refugees will be, please do not ever dishonour the Canadian hospitality.

Heart touching gesture. I myself being a first generation immigrant, can appreciate how much this warm hearted welcome means. Although my heart is still with Pakistan but now it is shared by Canada as well. I try to pay back to a country that has done so much for me and my family. Most important is to teach our children that while maintaining their Muslim identity they can be a fully Canadian as well. There are more opportunities to practice true spirit of Islam in Canada then in many other muslim countries. Long live Canada and Pakistan

A wast majority of Canadians are not in favor of accepting refugees aka economic migrants. Canada has admitted thousands of refugees mostly Muslims, since Muslim countries are forever involved in some conflict or religious persecution over the past 50 years. How about the rich underpopulated gulf countries taking in some of these Arabic speaking refugees.
