When batsman and selfie-king Ahmed Shahzad got hitched this weekend his mentor-cum-pal Shahid Afridi shared a shaadi selfie with all the fans waiting to catch a glimpse of both cricketers.

Ahmed tied the knot yesterday with Sana Muraad and his baraat was celebrated by Twenty-Twenty captain Afridi. While the groom was dressed in a golden sherwani by designer Faraz Manan, Lala chose to wear a black sherwani for the occasion.

Afridi took to Twitter and was the first one to congratulate the young batsman, tweeting: “Selfie boy welcome to real pavilion!”

He also posted memorable moments on his Instagram:

In the light of the recent Peshawar attack, Ahmed had announced he would have a simple wedding.

Why no team members other than Afridi was there?. Neglecting team members is not a good omen. Ahmed Shahzad could have invited some players to have some courtesy.

@Rao Because Ahmed is the future captain and most of all he is a Pukhtoon. He know that he has to maintain the distance with team mates and also he cannot bring non dignified people on personal events. Afridi and Imran Khan acted like bosses and they are respected in return. He is being trained by Afridi and he will polish him to act as a true leader in The future.
